About This Project
DR Horton presented a challenge that to many may have been overwhelming. MCC viewed this challenge just like any other job. Nothing too big or too small for our team. The first 260 acres of a total of 1,200, was to be cleared and mass excavation of 600,000 cubic yards for a grand opening in less than 12 months. MCC spent countless hours engineering and planning alongside DR Horton to produce the best plan possible. We completed a timber harvest operation for the initial 265 acres while the engineering team took on the final designs and permits. In just over eight months, MCC completed the harvest and clearing, mass grading, cast-in place box culverts and headwalls with stream diversions, MDSHA access improvements, 6,000 square yards of asphalt paving, 3,000 linear feet of curb and two miles of sanitary forcemain, storm drain and water.
